Robert Pattinson Shines In The New Dior Icons Menswear Line Campaign
Kim Jones is to launch his new Dior Icons menswear line on 1st December 2023. As the name suggests, the line is heavily inspired by the “Dior haute couture archive.”
The luxury and timeless collection to be launched has Dior brand ambassador Robert Pattinson in the campaign.
About the Twilight actor appearing in the campaign, Kim Jones said,
“I talked about clothing and fabrication with Robert a lot because he has a huge interest in fashion. I thought it would be perfect for him to wear Dior Icons because we discussed it in the conception of the collection. He is a good friend of mine so it seemed it would be nice for him to model in it.”
Pattinson has been the face of the “Dior Homme Fragrance” for around 10 years now. The liaison happened back in 2023.
He has also been the face of many menswear collections from Dior.
The first such appearance for the brand was in the fall of 2016, and the ad was shot by fashion Moghul, Karl Lagerfeld.
The line to be launched will have a fusion of the classics like the best-tailored coats and minimalistic wide-leg pants and casual outfits like denim jeans and bomber jackets.
Further, the ruling color of the collection will be grey, the favorite shade of Christian Dior. We will also get to see the use of muted colors in abundance in this collection.
Along with outfits for men, the collection will have many essential accessories. The collection will flaunt a mini and more casual version of the “Gallop shoulder bag” from Dior.
The mini version of the bag in the collection will come with a sturdy aluminum buckle. Another prominent accessory for the collection will be “Buffalo Derby shoes.”
Even before this new Dior Icons menswear line, Dior has worked on different variations or versions of its wardrobe essentials in the recent past.
One of the most prominent examples of such lines is the “Modern Tailoring capsule” of 2020. It presented the elegant outfits of the brand with a more casual touch to remain popular and relevant.
