Understanding The Cozy Girl Aesthetics With Longer Sleeves In Dresses And Tops
This party season looks like all about the “Cozy Girl” aesthetics. It’s winter, and it’s great to find some warmth and comfort in the extra-long sleeves of your outfit.
The flared and over-the-top sleeves offer a hygge style and a feeling of embrace. Further, sometimes the length of these oversized sleeves is so long that it reaches the floor.
In recent times, Alexa Chung, the British television presenter, aced this style for her appearance at the “Forces for Change” party of British Vogue.
For the party held in London last week, the model wore a shirt. The shirt had long sleeves covering her hands. This has become a fashion trend across genders.
Ncuti Gatwa made a statement with the coat he wore at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. His coat had long sleeves, and like the sleeves of Alexa Chung’s shirt, his sleeves also covered the hands.
Children are also adopting this style, with North West, Kim Kardashian’s daughter, wearing a sweater featuring extra long sleeves.
The “Cozy Girl” aesthetics became popular during winter last year. TikTok also has around 30 million views for “#Cozygirl.” Hygge style and homebody feel are the two most important elements of Cozy Girl aesthetics.
Nensi Dojaka has names like Dua Lipa and Rihanna in her client list. Her dresses have long sleeves as a signature style.
Nancy says,
“We have always been very specific about sleeve lengths. Usually, we go for a longer sleeve that covers the knuckles because it adds a layer of sensuality to the wearer’s attitude as well as subtly elongating your arms and silhouette.”
She further added,
“It’s unexpected to see long sleeves in after-dark dressing as, typically, we would go for a slip dress without any sleeves. Perhaps they evoke a bit of mystery.”
We are not complaining as long as the longer sleeves keep our hands warm and help us flaunt the most voguish look.
